The work of Opportunity International Australia is supported by a number of generous organisations, corporations and individuals. To those not listed here, we sincerely thank you for your commitment to our cause. Your support is making a difference to the lives of people who desperately need our help.

Opportunity is a full member of the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID), and is a signatory to the ACFID Code of Conduct. This Code of Conduct outlines minimum standards of management, accountability and governance for organisations that work in the international development field.

The Code also outlines standards for how organisations are managed, how they communicate with the public, and most importantly, how they spend the funds they raise. In making sure that organisations are accountable, the Code ensures that public confidence is maintained in the way funds are used overseas and in Australia.

The Australian Federal Government, through its overseas aid program managed by the Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID), has generously assigned funds to programs administered by Opportunity. The financial details of this funding are included in the Opportunity Annual Review, available for downloading in PDF format from this website. See the Resources section.

Opportunity receives government funding through the AusAID-NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP). To secure this funding, Opportunity must be accredited by AusAID, of which Opportunity has full level accreditation.

Each year, Opportunity submits funding proposals to AusAID. These include a plan of development activities which we intend to support with the ANCP subsidy and a snapshot of targets and milestones for a variety of programs over a 12-month period. Each proposal is then assessed by AusAID to ensure compliance with the ANCP Guidelines and Guiding Principles.

Interim Performance Reports and Final Reports are prepared by Opportunity and submitted to AusAID. These reports contain the annual achievements of the projects using specified measures of performance and the annual financial acquittal, as well as progress against development objectives and outputs as identified in the proposals.

Opportunity wishes to thank AusAID for its continued support
