In April 2008, Opportunity International Australia and Progressive Media Vision Pvt. Ltd came together to launch a Pan India microfinance initiative. The initiative had the mandated objective of lifting 2.5 million families in India, out of the poverty by the year 2020.

This initiative is a subsidiary of Opportunity International Australia, Dia Vikas Capital, and is a social investor into the Indian microfinance sector.
