In Her Footsteps Challenge
Help women living in poverty start a business and change their lives
Opportunity International Australia invites you to take part in the In Her Footsteps Challenge. We’re challenging all our supporters to help spread the word about Opportunity by hosting a screening of the DVD In Her Footsteps, narrated by Channel Nine’s Lisa Wilkinson.
Opportunity’s mini documentary, In Her Footsteps is an abridged version of the 2008 feature length production. This version, while only 38 minutes long, illustrates the extreme poverty of India and the positive impact microfinance is having on the lives of the women who live there. As such, it provides a powerful introduction to Opportunity.
The challenge is this:
- Get a group of people in a room. In your home, workplace, church, mother’s group, school… the venues are limitless!
- Screen our In Her Footsteps DVD.
- Direct your guests to www.inherfootsteps.com and encourage them to donate and change the lives of women living in poverty in India. Donations can also be made on the spot via a pledge form. Pass the challenge on and invite your guests to host their own In Her Footsteps screening.
The goal is to expose as many people as we can to the amazing story of poor people overcoming poverty with the help of Opportunity.
$200 = one loan = one business = one family beginning their journey out of poverty!
All you need to do is register now by emailing opinfo@opportunity.org.au and we will send you a pack with all the information you need to take up the challenge today!
